Build feeds for your kids from the creators and accounts you approve: one per kid, one per interest, or one for the whole family. Posts show up in order, with no algorithm deciding what comes next.
Narro is user-curated social media. You add the profiles you want your kids to see from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and Narro shows only their posts.
Curate the perfect feed for your kids
No comments.
No DMs.
No ads.
No algorithm.
Narro is user-curated social media: your kids see posts from the creators and accounts you added to their feeds, in order. There is no algorithm picking what comes next, and no comments or DMs.
Parental control apps limit screen time, filter content, or monitor and alert you to inappropriate activity. Limiting screen time doesn't change what the algorithm shows in that time, filters don't catch everything, and every alert is another thing you have to investigate.
Pair it with iOS Screen Time or Android Family Link if you also want to manage total device time.
There are two steps to this.
We've written step-by-step guides for setting up Screen Time with Narro on iPhone and setting up Family Link with Narro on Android, including how to set up one paid account for the whole family.
Yes. You own the feed, so opening it in your account shows exactly the posts your kid sees. Only the owner of a feed can add or remove profiles; your kid can follow it but cannot change it.
As many as you like. Make one per kid, one per interest, or one that siblings share, and change each one as your kids grow. Narro plans count profiles, not feeds: Standard covers 100 profiles across all your feeds, and a profile in several feeds counts once.
No. You hold one paid account and build all the feeds in it. Each kid creates their own account and follows the feeds you share with them, and following a shared feed is free.
Narro is for ages 13 and up, which is also what its terms require. There is no messaging or comment system between users, and feeds only show content from the profiles added to them, so a feed shows only what you've added.

Every app below works by restricting a device or network, monitoring content and alerting you after the fact. None of them touch the feed itself: the algorithm, comment section, advertising and DMs are all still there. With Narro you choose what's in each of your kids' feeds, and the feeds have no algorithm, comments, or DMs.
| App | What it does | What it doesn't touch | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
Content Restriction | Whole-home network-level filtering and time limits across many device types | Anything once off home Wi-Fi, or on a non-standard browser | $89.99–$129+/yr |
Content Restriction | Real-time AI web-content scrubbing, YouTube video-level monitoring, screen-time schedules | Does not monitor social media or messaging at all | $39.99–$89.99/yr |
Content Restriction | Broadest single suite: web/app filtering, location, call and text monitoring (Complete tier), routines | Weaker iOS feature parity; setup can take one to two hours for multi-kid households | $54.95–$99.95/yr |
Content Monitoring | Real-time AI vision model scans images and video as they load on any site, pixel-level rather than a blocklist | No per-app screen-time controls, does not block text | $54.99–$83.99/yr |
Content Monitoring | AI scans texts, emails, and 30+ social platforms (including DM content) for bullying or predatory signals, and alerts the parent | Reactive rather than preventive: it reports only after content was seen or sent. iOS needs extra paid hardware | $49–$99/yr |
Content Monitoring | Analyzes usage patterns and tone shifts rather than reading literal messages; broad bundled suite | No location tracking; skips deep message-reading by design | $8.25–$32/mo |
Narro Curated feed | Feeds of the profiles you choose, as many as you want, with no algorithm, comments, DMs, or platform account: nothing to restrict or monitor | Doesn't manage total device time by itself. Pair it with Screen Time or Family Link for that | $8/month or $80/yr |
At Narro, we're not against parental apps, they're useful and have their place, but none of them give parents real choice and control in what their kids see and how they interact on social media
