Social media monitoring for OSINT investigations

Watch the public record.
Keep your research private.

Narro is user-curated social media. Add the public profiles your work depends on, on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, or LinkedIn, and Narro collects their posts and shows them newest first.

No platform account tied to your work. No algorithm deciding what you get to see. And when a post comes down after Narro has it, it stays in your feed.

How do you research public social media profiles while protecting your own privacy?

Use a tool that collects public posts without routing the work through your own platform account. Narro reads the public Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles you add and shows their posts newest first. You never log in to a platform, so your identity and your research history stay off it, and your Narro feeds stay private unless you choose to share them. Posts Narro has already captured stay in your feed if they are later deleted off the original social media platform.

Open-source intelligence, the social media part

Why investigators use it

Your identity stays out of it

Narro reads public profiles on its own, so your research never runs through a personal platform account. No platform login is required and no need for a proxy account to build, age, or lose to a ban.

Private by default

Your feeds are yours. Nobody else can see which profiles you have added unless you choose to share a feed.

The feed as it stands, newest first

Platform feeds rank what you see and bury the rest, which is the opposite of what an investigation needs. A Narro feed shows posts from the profiles you added, newest first, and then it ends. Timelines come out of the feed as it stands, not out of what an algorithm chose to surface.

A limited archive of what gets taken down

Once Narro has captured a post, deleting it on the platform does not delete it from your feed. Posts are kept within Narro for 30 days.

One feed per case

Build a feed for each investigation, subject, or client, and mix profiles from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn in the same feed. Star the profiles that matter most. Where I Left Off marks the last post you reviewed, so each session picks up exactly where the last one stopped.

Your data, in your tools

Every feed exposes an RSS 2.0 URL. Send it to a feed reader, a spreadsheet, a case notes tool, or your own pipeline, and keep a copy of everything the feed collects on your side.

A shared view for the team

Share a feed as a read-only link. Editors, analysts, and collaborators can follow the same case without a Narro login, and without anyone else on the team touching a platform account.

Who it's for

Newsrooms and fact-checkers
Watch the public accounts behind a story, catch the post that gets quietly edited or pulled, and build the timeline from source order.
Human rights and research teams
Follow public accounts in a region or around an event over months, without a personal account attached to the work.
Competitive intelligence
Track the public channels of competitors, their executives, and their hiring, across all six platforms, in one feed that ends.
Brand protection and trust & safety
Keep an eye on impersonators and look-alike accounts without engaging them from a company account.
Due diligence
See what a company and its principals have said in public, in order, before a deal, a hire, or a partnership.

What Narro is not

Not forensic preservation.
No hashing, no chain of custody, no evidentiary export. When you find something that matters, preserve it properly with a dedicated tool or a web archive.
Not real time.
Profiles are checked throughout the day depending on the platform.
Public profiles only.
No private accounts, no Stories, no comments, no DMs. If you cannot see it logged out, neither can Narro.
Not a search engine.
Narro watches the profiles you name. It does not search keywords or discover accounts for you.

Investigate. Don't intrude.

Narro only shows what a profile has published publicly. It does not unlock private accounts, capture comments or likes. Narro is not a tool for watching a private person's life. Our terms allow lawful use only.

Common questions

Can Narro be used for OSINT?
Yes, for the social media part of it. Narro collects public posts from the Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles you add, and shows them newest first, with no algorithm altering the feed. Narro is a monitoring and collection tool, not a forensic preservation tool.
Does using Narro expose my identity?
No. Narro reads public profiles on its own, without your platform login, so your research is never tied to a personal Instagram, TikTok, X, or other account. Your feeds are private unless you choose to enable sharing. Narro has no ads and does no tracking.
Do I need a sock puppet account?
No, Narro does not require platform accounts at all, so there is nothing to create, age, or keep from getting banned.
Does Narro keep posts that get deleted?
Often, yes. Once Narro has captured a post, deleting it on the platform does not remove it from your feed. Posts are kept for 30 days.
Can Narro see private accounts, Stories, or comments?
No. Public profiles only. Narro does not work around private accounts, and does not collect comments or track likes.
Can I get the data out?
Every Narro feed has a RSS 2.0 URL. Pull it into a feed reader, a spreadsheet, a notes tool, or your own pipeline, and keep your own copy of everything the feed collects.
Can my team work from the same feed?
Yes. Share a feed as a read-only link and colleagues can follow it without a Narro subscription. Only the feed owner can change which profiles are in a feed.
