Is there an Instagram alternative without the algorithm?

Narro is the answer. It reads Instagram profiles you add and shows their posts in chronological order. No Reels discovery feed, no Explore surface, no suggested posts from strangers. Not a blocker — blockers stop you from opening Instagram. Narro is what you open instead.

Three ways Instagram replaced the people you follow.

Reels
Short-form video from accounts you have never heard of, inserted into the home feed between posts from people you follow. Each one is a recommendation, not a choice you made.
Suggested posts
After you have seen the recent posts from people you follow, Instagram fills the rest of the feed with content it recommends. The algorithm decides what is next. The feed never ends.
Explore
A surface built entirely around accounts you have not followed, surfaced by engagement signals rather than your choices. Explore is not your feed. It is Instagram's feed for you.

Narro has none of these surfaces. It has one surface: the posts from the profiles you added, in the order they were published.

Common questions

Is there an Instagram alternative without the algorithm?
Narro shows posts from Instagram profiles you add, in the order they were posted. No Reels filling your feed, no Explore recommendations, no suggested posts from accounts you never followed. Just the people you chose, in order.
Why doesn't Instagram show me posts from people I follow?
Instagram's algorithm sorts your feed by engagement signals, not chronology. Reels, suggested posts from strangers, and sponsored content are inserted between posts from people you follow. The accounts you chose are there; they are just buried. Narro shows every post from every profile you add, in the order it was published.
Can I still use Instagram for DMs if I switch to Narro?
Yes. Narro reads public posts. Instagram stays available for direct messages, Stories you're tagged in, and anything else. The idea is simple: open Narro when you would have opened Instagram to scroll.
What is a suggested post on Instagram?
A suggested post is content Instagram inserts into your feed from accounts you do not follow. It is visually indistinguishable from posts by people you do follow. Narro shows only profiles you explicitly added. There is no insertion.
Does Narro show Instagram Reels?
Narro reads the post feed for each profile you add. If a creator publishes a Reel as a feed post, it will appear in Narro. Narro does not replicate the Reels discovery feed that Instagram uses to surface content from accounts you don't follow.
How often does Narro check Instagram for new posts?
Profiles are checked on a regular schedule. New posts typically appear in Narro within minutes of being published.
